A scientific community built through decades of exchange.
Since the first meeting in 1987, organized in Saint Denis by Professor Bernard Martel, the FRPM series has brought together researchers working on the fire safety of polymeric materials.
Unlike many scientific conferences, FRPM has grown as a community-driven initiative rather than through a formal scientific society. As a result, part of its history has been preserved only through the memories and personal archives of its participants.
